Colombian pianist Julian De La Chica to perform at OAS

Colombian composer & pianist Julián De La Chica debuted in the Hall of the Americas, at Organization of American States (OAS) headquarters, past Tuesday, October 14.

The recital, sponsored by Secretary General César Gaviria and Mrs. Gaviria, began at 7:00 p.m. and featured De La Chica performing renditions of works by such composers as Mozart, Rachmaninov, Schubert, Scarlatti and Monti. The final segment of the concert was devoted to Colombian composers.

Born in the city of Manizales, De La Chica began studying music when he was five, at the Faculty of Arts music conservatory at the University of Caldas.
